So now that the Oscars are over and we’re all done with celebrating Leo’s first Oscar win (Yay!), let’s get down to business – who wore what! 🙂 Now there are a lot of award functions, even in Hollywood – but we all know Oscars is the real deal! And this year too, the stars sparkled, wow’ed and shimmed down the red carpet in the most stunning gowns and dresses! Couture gowns and the shiniest of diamonds – all were on display!

So let’s start with this year’s Red Carpet looks with our very own Priyanka Chopra! Now, have we mentioned on these pages how much we admire her? We love her for her ambition and her zeal! Her accomplishments have made us all proud and this year all eyes were on Ms. Chopra and we expected her to wow us! And she did!

Wearing a Zuhair Murad see-through white gown with bold burgundy lip colour was our very own Bollywood Queen!

Cate Blanchett shows us how to make an entrance! Wearing a Sea-foam green custom Armani Privé gown embellished with Swarovski crystals and bedecked in Tiffany & Co. jewellery, Ms. Blanchett shows us how to stand out!

The lady not only won the Oscar, but also wow’ed us in this gorgeous deep blue gown by Gucci. What’s not to love here? Gorgeous colour, sexy neckline, right amount of sparkle, throw in some ruffles and you have a stunning gown! We love!

Channeling the barely-there was Jennifer Lawrence in sexy, black lace Dior.

Wearing a custom Ralph Lauren liquid silk lamé gown with vine-inspired diamond drop Nirav Modi earrings was Kate Winslet. Not our most favourite gown of the evening – what do you guys think? Like? Love? Meh?

Subtle sexy is what this gown is for us! Wearing a custom Chanel Haute Couture is Julianne Moore. Voluminous skirt, beautiful black lace, bejeweled bodice and embroidered straps makes this gown a winner for us!

Wearing an August Getty Atelier gown with a major train and open back, plus a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, Stuart Weitzman heels and Piaget drop earrings, Rachel McAdams personifies Sleek and Sexy!

Now that’s a plunging neckline if you ever saw one! There’s nothing subtle about this gown adorned by Charlize Theron. Plunging neckline, bold colour, sleek silhouette – this custom Dior Haute Couture gown paired with a gazillion carats of Harry Winston jewelry made us go wow!

Wearing an Armani Privé blue-and-purple gown with a chevron pattern, plus a jaw-dropping Bulgari diamond necklace and a coordinating clutch by the brand, Noami Watts made the traffic stop! Is anyone else getting a mermaid vibe? 🙂

Gown? Nah, not for Lady Gaga! Never the one to go down the boring route, Lady Gaga opted instead for a crisp white jumpsuit with a full train and $8 million of Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

LADY GAGA in Brandon Maxwell

Braided hair, choker necklace and beautiful white Valentino Couture gown – Olivia Wilde is giving us major Greek goddess vibes!

Next up, the stunner Sofia Vergara in a Marchesa gown. Personally, we would have loved a brighter colour, but this is beautiful nonetheless! What do you guys think? Love Ms.Vergara’s choice of colour? Tell us in comments!

Normally, we’d say a plunging neckline and a tigh-high slit in the same dress would be a no-no. But Taylor Swift makes it work! And how! There’s sexiness written all over this gown!

Golden glittery gown is probably the safest route to take when you know you’ll be walking the red carpet at the Oscars!

LILY COLLINS in Yves Saint Laurent

Next up, the bautiful Kate Bosworth in a Ralph & Russo creation – what do you guys think? Like? Love? Meh?

Anne Hathaway glowed in this beautiful Neem Khan gown.

Not an instant favorite, but pale, dainty and very very feminine, accessorized with just the right amount of black, we loved this look of Emma Roberts!

Instead of opting for the more common golden glittery route, Selena Gomez wore a metallic silver gown from Louis Vuitton. Golden or not, glittered she did nevertheless!

Personally, this was our least favourite look from the evening. There’s just too much going on here for us to like this look on the beautiful Kate Hudson. What do you guys think? Liked it?

Fashion looks done, now let’s get on to hairstyles seen at Oscars!

We saw a lot of ponytails this year at the red carpet!

Oscars is not only about the couture gowns and shiny jewelry, the stars spend a lot of moolah on their make-up as well! This year at the Oscars, the beauty game was as strong, maintaining classic Hollywood glam but with a hint of stark edge.

Beauty Trends At Oscars

When it came to makeup, this year, we saw Lady Gaga go the glitter route with her rose gold eyes. Olivia Wilde sprinkled stardust shimmer on her lids, both pairing it with glossy nude lips.

And while Jennifer Lawrence rimmed her eyes with black kohl to break the softness of her muted make-up.

Then there was the ultimate bold lip—a beautiful toned-down berry on homegirl Priyanka Chopra, a glossy coral on Reese Witherspoon and a deep pink on Brie Larson.
